Job Title:                     Quality Technician 1
Position Reports To:  Assistant Quality Assurance Manager
FLSA Status:                Hourly

  • This is a Seasonal position 
  • June- December  / Thursday- Sunday with weekdays possible.

Position Purpose Summary: Monitors, communicates, and documents product quality, as well as production processes, ensuring that all food products are in compliance with company and customer specifications.
Principal Job Responsibilities
  • Serve the needs of customers and all stakeholders.
  • Adhere to all Food Safety and GMP Policies.
  • Identify, document and communicate quality issues.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of documents and data entered.
  • Perform product inspections according to company and customer specifications.
  • Perform CCP verifications.
  • Perform equipment calibrations.
  • Monitoring of assigned production processes.
  • Collect product samples for analysis and retention.
  • Maintain and complete data entry logs.
  • Maintain and complete daily paperwork.
  • Maintain an organized work area.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of lab supplies.
  • Training of quality control technicians.
  • Other duties assigned by Quality Management.

Education and Experience
  • Degree or equivalent: High School Diploma
  • Experience:
    • Product inspection
    • Preferred – 6+ months similar or applicable to position applied for


Physical Demands of the Position
While performing the duties of this position, the employee must possess manual dexterity required to frequently or for prolonged periods of time sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop and type; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment
While performing duties of this position, the employee is exposed to moving parts and vehicles; variable temperatures of both heat and cold; wet environment; loud environment.
