Job Title: Quality Micro Lab Coordinator

Position Reports To: Assistant Quality Assurance Manager

FLSA Status: Hourly

· This is a full-time permanent position eligible for enrollment in company benefit plans after 60 days and 40 hours Vacation after 90 days

· Monday - Friday 5:00am – 1:00pm / 8:00am – 4:00pm

Position Purpose Summary: Accurate and efficient preparation of finished product and environmental monitoring samples for laboratory testing. This role also includes the meticulous review of testing results, ensuring compliance with company procedures along with company and customer specifications.

Principal Job Responsibilities

· Serve the needs of customers and all stakeholders.

· Adhere to all Food Safety and GMP Policies.

· Prepare finished product samples.

· Perform environmental monitoring sampling.

· Drive continuous improvement with environmental monitoring programs.

· Analyze test results including hold and release associated with finished product.

· Analyze test results including corrective actions associated with environmental monitoring.

· Maintain organized documentation and logs associated with finished product testing and environmental monitoring testing.

· Generate and maintain Certificate of Analysis for all outbound and inbound products.

· Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of documents and data entered.

· Identify, document and communicate quality issues.

· Maintain knowledge of microbiological analysis for company and customer requirements.

· Serves as primary contact with 3rd party laboratories.

· Train new and existing employees on all aspects of finished product testing and environmental monitoring programs.

· Provide guidance for finished product and environmental monitoring sample collection to quality technicians.

· Other related duties as assigned from Quality Management.

Education and Experience

· Degree or equivalent: High School Diploma

· Certification: (preferred)

o HACCP

o PCQI

· Experience:

o 6 months to 1 year similar or applicable to position applied for

o Preferred – 2+ years similar or applicable to position applied for

Physical Demands of the Position

While performing the duties of this position, the employee must possess manual dexterity required to frequently or for prolonged periods of time sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop and type; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is exposed to general office conditions except when working in the actual production facility – where there is exposure to moving parts and vehicles; variable temperatures of both heat and cold; wet environment; loud environment.
